Berry Kale Smoothie
A wonderful green smoothie, loaded with a serving of dark green leafy kale with mega dose of Vitamin C. Great for a Fall energy / immune boost!
1 cup chopped fresh kale, stems removed
1 cup frozen berry blend, thawed slightly
1 ripe banana, fresh or frozen. See * below
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup crushed ice
Optional – add a scoop of protein powder.
* TIP- I buy a bunch of bananas and let them get really ripe, and then I throw them in the freezer. Perfectly ripe when I need them! *
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
Add more ice if too thin; add a bit of milk or water if too thick.
Makes 2 servings. Enjoy!
